A Building Transformed Into a Modern Body Shop
Automotive Specialties purchased and renovated this Boston building into a complete collision-repair facility, with a Blowtherm spray booth and preparation station forming the foundation of the new refinish department.
A raised basement provides full downdraft airflow without excavating a conventional concrete pit. Its integrated pneumatic entrance ramp lowers for vehicle access, then raises inside the booth to create a level working surface—keeping ramps from extending into the shop floor.
The finished system gives the Automotive Specialties team a modern, well-lit environment for preparation and refinishing work, backed by ongoing service and maintenance support from Kovacs and Company.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
A year after startup, Gabriel returned to check in with the Automotive Specialties team. They remained very happy with the system and the support behind it.
“The Installation Went Seamlessly”
We want to share that the installation of the spray booth and prep station went seamlessly. The team did a fantastic job navigating the limited space, including working around several beams and walls.
Our spray booth and prep station are truly state-of-the-art quality, and we are thrilled with the results.
If you are looking for spray booth installation and maintenance, look no further. We’ve found it for you—Kovacs and Company is the way to go! Thank you for the great work.

Designed Into the Building Renovation
The booth and preparation system were planned as part of the building’s conversion into a body shop, with installation coordinated around existing beams, walls, and limited available space. This progress view shows the work required before the new refinish department entered service.
